大阪府立大学経済学部卒業。NEC日本電気勤務。

[ Osamu Murata Profile ]
Osamu Murata was born in Chiba, Japan and learned painting in New York after quitting job of an ordinary big company worker. After coming back to Japan, he worked actively as an illustrator mainly in the publication and the advertising field in Tokyo. He loved paintings for children’s story books. After almost 10 years city life in Tokyo, he moved to Nasu highland area to seek life which was not rushed by clients. The nature of Nasu was so beautiful and spiritual that he has begun to concentrate on watercolor landscape paintings.
I studied painting in New York.

I moved to Nasu, 150km from Tokyo, a beautiful highland area with lots of nature which inspired me dramatically.
2011 Okayama
I had to move to Okayama, where my parents and sisters had been living, sadly because of the radiation contamination by Fukushima Incident. I have been living in Okayama.
